Waseem Media Capture is a Firefox extension designed to work with the Net Downloader desktop application for Windows.
The extension may detect URLs and technical information related to downloadable content on websites, including media and file URLs, content types, and media titles when available.
When the user chooses to download detected content, the extension sends the relevant download information to the locally installed Net Downloader application through Firefox Native Messaging.
This information may include the selected file or media URL, media title, content type, and related video or audio URLs when required for downloading and processing the selected content.
Waseem Media Capture does not sell user data, use user data for advertising, or use the collected information to track users across websites.
Information passed through Native Messaging is used to perform the download requested by the user through the Net Downloader desktop application.
Downloaded content originates from third-party websites. Those websites may have their own privacy policies and terms of service. Users are responsible for complying with the applicable terms and laws when downloading content.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the functionality of Waseem Media Capture changes. Any updated policy will describe the data practices applicable to the current version of the extension.
For privacy or support questions, users may contact the developer using the support email listed on the official Waseem Media Capture page on Mozilla Add-ons.
